GIRL GUIDES

AGR operate in all 30 districts of Rwanda and currently have more than 13,000 active members. 

 

AGR Is affiliated to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, the largest voluntary movement dedicated to girls and young women, founded by Lord Baden Powell in 1910.

Who We Are

The Rwanda Girl Guides Association (AGR) is non-profit organization operating in Rwanda since 1980. It is a voluntary girl-serving organization dedicated to girls and young women. We offer a wide range of non-formal educational programmes and activities,  encouraging girls and young women to develop their own special personalities, make a contribution to their community, and form friendships in a positive environment.

Our Vision:

 

All girls and young women are responsible for their socio-economic development and participate in the change of the country.

Our Mission 

Enabling girls and young women to acquire skills leading to their development and autonomy and to become agents of positive change as responsible citizens.

 

Goals:

 

  1. Equip girls and young women with moral and Rwandan values

  2. Provide high quality non-formal education for girls and young women

  3. Develop national and international partnerships

  4. Improve girls’ and women’s socio-economic lives
